What is the Subaru Love Promise?

The Subaru Love Promise is just that. A promise. It is a promise to do right by our community by partnering with nonprofit education, health, community, environment, and animal organizations - to set Subaru apart through our deeds and the deeds of our partners. To be unlike any other car company by doing what is right and good, just for the sake of doing it.

The Love Promise starts with Subaru of America

We at Subaru of America stay true to the Love Promise by partnering with a wide variety of nonprofits and charities. In addition to these partnerships, every year Subaru, our owners, and our retailers join hands in the "Share the Love" event, giving back to charities across the country. Over the past 20 years, Subaru of America has donated over 50 million dollars to causes we care about, and logged over 28,000 volunteer hours.

All of the organizations we support have one thing in common: the unwavering dedication to improve the world and the lives of its people.

The charities' varying focuses and passions include:

Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.

Over a decade ago, Subaru became the first U.S. auto manufacturer to become zero-landfill, and now, in collaboration with the National Park Service and the National Parks Conservation Association, Subaru is leveraging that same environmental expertise to help the National Parks reach zero-landfill too.

In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.

Love Promise Stories from Sharrett Subaru

Our Customers Love The Earth  –  Steven K

Our Customers Love The Earth

During the Subaru Loves the Earth Recycling Event, our customers were delighted to dispose of their unwanted electronics. More importantly, they took great pleasure in knowing that they were part of something bigger. They were doing their part to support their community and the world we live in. Sharrett Subaru says 'Thank You' to our loyal customers who helped to make this event a great success!

During the Subaru "Share The Love" campaign, Sharrett Subaru chose the Humane Society of Washington County as their local charity. The mission of the Humane Society is to promote the welfare of companion and domestic animals through educational programs and initiatives that reduce pet overpopulation, endorse fostering, enrich adoptions, and encourage responsible pet guardianship. On behalf of Sharrett Subaru, Will Perryman, President, and Letti Palmer presented a check to Kimberley Intino, President/CEO of The Humane Society of Washington County. This donation will aid in their vision to be the area's leading resource for animal related issues, to enhance and protect the lives of all animals by advocating responsible, compassionate relationships between people and animals while providing shelter, humane education, spay/neuter programs and adoptions. Following the presentation was a tour of the Humane Society's new addition/facility that includes a surgical center, 'social room' for cats, outdoor exercise area and spacious kennel area. In celebration of the new facility, they will host an Open House May 2nd. We are proud to be a partner.
